Open Call For Artists

DATES AND PLACE

The first edition of Nanometri Festival will be held in Fano at the Bastione Sangallo from 29 to 31 August 2019.

INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL

The call is open to short films (fiction, animation, documentary). The theme will be energy, understood in a broad sense, from the kinetic to the luminous one, reaching what is in each of us.

As a reference we want to use the phrase of the physicist Feynmann:

“It is important to keep in mind that in today’s physics, we have no knowledge of what energy is.”

CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION

Short films and animations should not be longer than 30 minutes. Works carried out in the last 3 years will be accepted. An author can present more works. All selected works will be screened during the festival.

PRE-SELECTION

Participants will be informed of the pre-selection results by 31 July 2019. Once submitted for the festival, the films cannot be picked up. The selected artists will be asked for the file in the most suitable media for the projection. The submitted works will become part of the festival archive.

SUBTITLES

Films containing dialogues must be subtitled in English.

PROMOTION

Participants authorise Nanometri Festival to use up to 30” seconds of selected works for promotional purposes.

DATE E LUOGO

La prima edizione di Nanometri Festival si terrà a Fano presso il Bastione Sangallo dal 29 al 31 Agosto 2019.

OPEN CALL INTERNAZIONALE

La call è aperta a cortometraggi e ad animazioni.

Il tema sarà l’energia, intesa in senso ampio, da quella cinetica a quella luminosa arrivando a quella che c’è in ognuno di noi. Come riferimento vogliamo usare la frase del fisico Feynmann:

«È importante tener presente che nella fisica odierna, non abbiamo alcuna conoscenza di cosa sia l’energia.»

CONDIZIONI DI AMMISSIONE

Cortometraggi e animazioni non dovranno avere una lunghezza superiore ai 30 minuti. Saranno accettate opere realizzate negli ultimi 3 anni. Un autore può presentare più opere.  Tutte le opere selezionate saranno proiettate durante il festival.

PRE-SELEZIONE

I partecipanti saranno informati dei risultati di preselezione entro il 31 luglio 2019. Una volta presentati per il festival, i film non possono essere ritirati. Agli artisti selezionati verrà richiesto il file nel supporto più adatto alla proiezione. Eventuali spese di spedizione dei supporti fisici (se necessari) saranno a carico degli artisti. Le opere inviate diventeranno parte dell’archivio del festival.

SOTTOTITOLI

I film contenenti dialoghi devono essere sottotitolati in inglese.

PROMOZIONE

I partecipanti autorizzano Nanometri Festival a utilizzare fino a 30” delle opere selezionate a fini promozionali.
